The poetry corner was created during the 2020 pandemic to bring liveliness amongst poets that were not traveling to open events.
Having a viral platform for artist of spoken word to express their thoughts, feelings and emotions started as a great vibe.
Now forming a life of its own we crafted a signature upon the King
For guests to recite their poetry and tell the audience what they have going on in social or personal life.
We keep striving to communicate and have fun doing the poetry corner and expand to become greater. Our mission is to provide a safe space for poets of all variety to grow by cultivating burgeoning talent, collaborating with talent throughout the poetry community and engaging a global audience of poetry lovers.

Van Meadows, Jr. aka Poetic was born to Cynthia Bonds and Van Meadows SR in 1974 in Baltimore, MD. Currently Resides in Columbia SC. A father of 5 children recently divorced. A Christian believer in faith and a minister. Currently holds an AA and BA in accounting, Master in Management and a MBA in Human Resource Management.
I am an entrepreneur and a published author of three published works of poetry. Currently the CEO of a nonprofit organization called Spyt Fyah Foundation where the mission statement is to “create opportunity and build dreams” the foundation has three phases. 1st phase is to raise money to put arts back into the public school systems across the United States, 2nd phase will be to travel to different cities and do poetry in the park where this will create college scholarships for high school students of those cities, and phase 3 will be to build a hotel and hire high school students to earn money while gaining life application skills. Training them will be college interns and it will be a rotating cycle. CEO of M&E Consulting Service, where I assist with tax preparation and financial consultation, I also am an independent business owner of ACN, a network marketing company and a host of other businesses. I am also an internet radio host of three shows. As well as the station manager. On Epiphany Radio the For Real entertainment network, the show is the inspiration factory I cohost with Paul Sampson – Divine inspiration at 9pm est, Thursday nights at 9pm with Jrob the wiseson, and on Every other Saturday night is my poetry variety show called Let’s Talk About It where we do date night differently also at 9pm. A former host on Damon network with the show called Cool Breeze with cohost Chelsey Downing. Writer at Moddgalaxy Magazine.
My passions in life are God, family, writing, and helping others. I started writing poetry at the age of 14, when my teenage emotions were running wild and I was uncomfortable discussing them with adults. So I have been writing for 30 years. All genres of poetry I enjoy. I have been doing online radio shows since 2017 and hosting radio shows for three months. My published works are entitled The Ebony Collection, volumes 1, 2, & 3. Titled The Ebony Collection because I write for the people of color and in my opinion everyone on the earth is a person of color. My greatest achievement is being a dad it is an honor and a privilege.
